Off at 1145 into relentless rain, and wind not from south as advertised, but right in my face. After seemingly endless ascent of Milestone Road got to surgery at 1245, wet as a haddock's pocket. Was kept waiting, damply reading the paper till 1330, but the doctor did apologise.

Walked home again. Woman at Co-op very nice. Perhaps she felt sorry for me looking so bedraggled.

Just as I got home, the rain stopped. Pleasure to dry out and warm up, then have hot bath.
