Beautiful weather to start with, clouded over later. The type of clouds led me to expect thunder, and we got a cracking thunderstorm from 6.45-7.45, with some flashes as close as 700 yards (2 sec). Really heavy rain too from 7.20, and it went on till 10pm.

Sunny - some clouds developing vertically in the morning, but the sky changed to fair-weather cumuli by lunchtime.

Beautiful day, boiling hot. Went to Aldeburgh and sat on the beach appreciating the cool sea breeze.

Beautiful morning with powerful sun. Weather got disagreeably warm later though, close and grey.

Rather gloomy weather in the morning, improved a bit in the afternoon.

Impressive thunderstorm at lunchtime. Went out in the evening and came back through the countryside, very pleasant drive with mist rising from the road.
