Cold and clear.

Sunday, October 27, 2002

Very strong SW wind rendering driving any faster than 50 mph very dangerous. But I'd completely forgotten to put the clocks back, so I arrived an hour early anyway.

Friday, October 25, 2002

Heavy rain on and off today. Windy in the evening.

Thursday, October 24, 2002

Beautiful cold clear morning. Trees particularly fine in autumnal colours.

Wednesday, October 23, 2002

More the cold and clear today.

Tuesday, October 22, 2002

Wet in the morning, and later, very grey, but blue sky appeared in the afternoon to cheer me up.

Monday, October 21, 2002

More rain, more Buffython.

Sunday, October 20, 2002

Came on to rain in the afternoon, so continued the Buffython.

Thursday, October 17, 2002

Cold and clear.

Wednesday, October 16, 2002

Not quite so rainy and dark, still pretty unpleasant though in the morning. Brief, valuable sun-gleam about 3pm.

Tuesday, October 15, 2002

Very rainy and dark.

Sunday, October 13, 2002

Another very dark, rainy day.

Saturday, October 12, 2002

Dark, rainy morning and afternoon, changing to clear cold starry evening.

Friday, October 11, 2002

Grey weather again.

Sunday, October 06, 2002

Beautiful weather in the morning, so set off light-heartedly on my spiritual walk as planned. Coming over the hill, saw the town spread flat below me and a broad ocean of sky with high-piled cumuli cruising across it. I could see why they say the 'wide world'.

Later, was overcome by feeling of gratitude to be alive, cooking tea and watching high clouds, illuminated from below the horizon by the set sun, drift up from the west.

Friday, October 04, 2002

Cool, clear autumn day.

Thursday, October 03, 2002

Such a damp, dismal morning that I didn't want to sit around in the morning, and went to work 10 minutes early. Weather improved a lot in the day to blue sky and fair-weather, flattish cumulus, so had another lunchtime stroll round the lake.

Wednesday, October 02, 2002

Felt pretty bad in the morning - weather dull, dark and damp, warmer than it looked and it made me feel like I had one of my old painless 'distant' hangovers.
