Nice clear day after grey first half hour.

Beautiful weather.

Everyone at school was hot and flushed. Exam passed over quickly (like a squall). Came home. Had an attack of heat exhaustion.

Raining at 8pm.

The longest day, it's still light now at 9pm.

The house is quiet and empty this morning: outside it's grey and windy, inside I can't revise Geography.

Much cooler today.

Weather a carbon copy of yesterday. Cooler now at 8.30pm.

Stiflingly hot (thermometer reads 91° - think it's wrong).

11pm. A breathless, thundery air to the night - a yellowish moon, and can I detect that smoky thundery smell?

Another beautifully hot June day. Hot enough to draw the curtains.
