Another showery day. One began just as I left Manningtree, turned into a hailstorm - then I drove out of it near Great Bromley, and surreally it didn't just stop raining, everything was dry too. Like coming out of a carwash.

Dismal weather in the morning, it wasn't pleasant getting up at 6am, and going out at 8 and walking to the salon in the rain. But on the way back it began to clear up, and I cheered up to the extent that I actually walked on into town for the paper, adding another mile to the 5½ mile round trip.

Walking across the park to the Co-op about 1.30 I thought, looking at the trees and the big sky and breathing the warm air, 'This isn't so bad.' And when you consider all the stupid things I've done, and all the unusual things I've had to do in order to deal with my unusual issues, that is true. It really has gone quite well so far, considering.
