Began to chill out about 9.30am, when I reached the roundabout on the outskirts of Ipswich, and got the idea that I wasn't going to work. Sky dirty, with dark Cu bits below high pearly grey As, but even that had a special
beauty.
0900. 8 As with dark Cu bits below, light wind. Gradually 8 Sc, more wind. Very cold.

Some real sunshine today: blue sky and white cumulus, then dark clouds and a heavy shower, then back again. It's still obviously late winter, but it resembles spring. Odd feeling of happiness on the bus home, with a powerful westering sun shining up through yellow-grey horizon clouds. Warmer weather revives my feelings of 'spaciousness' - I'm not sealed in a tiny bubble of in-clothes warmth when I'm
outside.
Mostly 3 Cu, wind NW, sun, heavy shower c.1330
More shower clouds seen later, but 4.

First proper 'evening' of the year, with an orange sun sinking into open sky at the trailing edge of the clouds about 4.30. When you go home in the dark in the winter it's as if evening hasn't happened - just day, then night.
0700 8 S, wind NW, warmer.
1700. 6 S, sun free at W edge, wind SW.
2000 Wind stronger
