Cold, bright morning, rather too much like the days of anxiety this time last year.

Rained quite heavily more or less all day, giving indoors a kind of cosy feeling.

Beautiful weather.

Miserable drizzly weather, but consoled myself with the thought that the landscape was being washed (Goldberry/Tom Bombadil). In the afternoon the clouds got darker and the rain heavier.

15th. Dark and rainy in the morning. It eased off a bit while I walked to work, then rained solidly from 11am-6pm.

16th. Rainy weather.

18th. Lift part of the way home with Marlene - she kindly lent me an umbrella as it was pouring down.

20th. Glorious sunshine and blue sky after two days' solid rain.

21st. Beautiful weather in the morning, but in the afternoon wind, grey clouds and light rain.

25th. Weather beautiful in the morning, but went right off - raining at 5pm, raining hard in the evening.

'The wettest September for 19 years. It was particularly wet in the second half' [...]

Very cold indeed, had to get the blanket out. Thought it was me till I watched the news in the evening, apparently it had been unusually cold with temperatures close to freezing.

Appropriately chilly today.
