Sunday, October 02, 2005

Walked back from the station in the afternoon in warm sun and cold N wind. A great bay of sky opened up between headlands of altocumulus, with little cirrocumulus wavelets.
I remembered the bit from American Beauty about beauty and a benevolent force. Except that there isn't a benevolent force - there doesn't have to be because there isn't a malevolent force either. A beautiful sight like that is a free gift to be appreciated. Take it, there'll be more to come.
