July 3rd. Raining in the morning.

July 4th. To Burger King in pouring rain.

July 15th. Close, hot, grey day.

July 20th. About 8.40pm I was feeling bored when the rain, which had been light for about half an hour, suddenly increased. Then the heavens opened, lightning, thunder, the works. About 9.30 it got really violent. By 10.30 things were quieter. More rumbles at midnight. Woken at 1.50 am by the loudest clap of thunder I've ever heard.
