Almost Spring-like with fast-moving cumuli and strong N. wind.

Absolutely beautiful bright morning, very cold though, with strong North wind. Snow shower in the afternoon.

8th. Very cold in the morning. Snowed a bit in the afternoon and was snowing lightly but continuously at 5pm. Still snowing at 9pm.

9th. Very cold.

10th. Very cold again.

11th. Not quite so cold. Glorious sunny morning, reminding me as always of that bit in Ivan Denisovich about the smoke of Tszesar's pipe in the sunlight like incense in church.

13th. Flawless weather, if cold.

'Severe spell... 8-14th in the south.' [...]

Very windy on the way home, sunset and huge flying dark clouds.

Sort of spring-like smell in the air.
