It got very dark later in the afternoon and then hailed, and then snowed. Unpleasant walk in driving snow as far as Tescos - luckily just before I got there the flakes turned big and soft, but my gloves were frozen.
Already turned to slush when I came out, so the walk home wasn't nearly so bad.

Shopping in squally shower: everything went well, but just as I was about to return at 12.15, the full cold front was clearly approaching (very sharp initial downdraught) and I took the initiative and cooked dinner right then, eating it and getting back to work by 1.50. Woke up at 8.30, read the temperature, went back to bed and slept on till 10.30.
