Unseasonally cold, windy day.

Got the 6.30pm bus. It was a hot, still, grey evening. There were heavy drops of rain on the way but it came to nothing.

Something 'Mediterranean' about the summer evening.

It started getting light at 3.30 and the Sun was just coming over the houses when we went to bed.

Woke up at 10.50 to another beautiful day.

Cool and sunny, with almost a sea breeze. Very nice.

June 4th. Beautiful day.

June 5th. Even hotter today.

June 6th. Hotter still. Conceded to the weather so far as to wear shorts.

June 7th. Really hot today. No sign of thunder yet at 10.46 pm. Went into town, got a pair of thin trousers which'll be more comfortable than jeans if if we have more of this weather.

June 8th. Impressive classic cold-front passage last night, with gusts, rain, thunder and lightning and the temperature dropping 3° F in 10 minutes. Rather grey and rainy today.
