Very dark clouds rolled up about 4.50pm and it began to absolutely piss down as I walked home. Glad I started keeping that spare brolly in the office. Actually I still got soaked from the knees down, it was raining so hard, but it makes a big difference when your head's dry. Once I'd got going, it was very pleasant to walk through the rain, see the gutters in full spate and huge puddles everywhere.

Weather so flawless today that I abandoned all thoughts of Ikea and went to Felixstowe. Hot, utterly cloudless, strong sea breeze. Quite lovely.
Home via Stoke by Nayland. Countryside as lovely as the seaside, with rustling wheat fields, dappled shadows etc.
Now a bright full Moon riding above the quiet town. Kind of benevolent. Chimes with the Luna Lovegood style dreamy goodwill
I've been feeling since Saturday.

Flawless weather, hardly a speck of cloud in the intensely blue sky all day. Sun shining very powerfully - I took coffee on the doorstep, and my arm was starting to burn by the time I'd finished drinking it.
Sunset so clear, nothing to describe except the gradation of colour in the sky, orange to yellow to greenish to dark blue to black. Capella shining in North about 11pm, a reminder that, although Summer is in its youthful prime, the year does keep on turning.

Absolutely gorgeous weather - sun beating down all day from a deep blue sky. Clouds got fewer and fewer, till by the evening there were just a few very thin red strips of cloud against a sky like a deep pool of clear water.
In the evening gazed at yellow full moon above the opposite side of the river valley, shining down on the quiet town. Perfect
end to a perfect day.

Was sitting in the library at lunchtime, facing a vast view to the West. Dark clouds and darker pannus hurrying below them above the pylons and factories. It started raining - the rain advanced towards me so successive folds of the landscape faded behind silver curtains. When it reached campus a young woman ran for cover with girlish abandon. Her soberer friend dashed under a convenient tree and put up her umbrella.
