Hot and humid today with some heavy thundery showers, but lovely and sunny in the evening.

Rain in the morning. In the evening, came out of meeting to see top quarter of Sun sinking, under a low roof of cloud whose ridges were illumined red, under the orange flood of light from the horizon.

Weather still rather dull, but better than yesterday.

Another lovely day's weather, particularly early in the morning about 9 am. Didn't go to church: watched England v Sweden.

Perfect weather for the date. Hot, bright, cloudless, with breeze. Walked back from town the long way through the park to appreciate the day better.

Very nice just being at home and having the windows open and looking through the bright air to the clear horizons. At sunset a few feathery clouds to lend colour.
