Rain, thunder.

September 24th. Terrific thunderstorm on way home, got very wet.

August 5th. Delivered the papers in the rain.

August 6th. Went to Holmefirth. It rained.

Rode a long way in the sun & wind. It has been showery all weekend.

It has been very hot recently.

Intense yet windy morning.

Call it June, it's more like October outside with the rain falling and spattering the panes. But I need a piece of Winter after all this hot oppressive weather.

There was a tremendous cloudburst at 8.30pm this evening.

Another hot, oppressive day. It thundered about dinnertime. At 7pm it is still oppressive.

May 26th. This morning went down the river in the rain.

Rode 23 miles in the freezing rain.

A fine May day, sunny with a cold, fresh N.E. wind. Perfect.

Windy, cold and wet.

The weather was pleasant this morning. Sun & rain - like an Irish 'soft day'.

Bloody freezing. Frost and fogs all day today.

Rained all day. River very high, over the path.

Thick snow lay on the ground at 7am. Went out and sledged and snowballed.

Great winds today, strongest in memory. Hurricane force in the North.
