Last day of Summer today: beautiful weather.

Cold late in the evening - autumn approaches.

Rainy and windy: cold but exhilarating. Dark clouds, and rain beating on the train windows (the rain was following me Eastwards); after I got to Norwich, as I came up to the top of Rose Lane, the sun burst out of the trailing edge of the clouds and everything was transformed.

About 9 pm went out for a walk: it was cool and almost cold, and for the first time this year there was that smoky autumnal smell in the air. Nice to see the seasons are still turning.

Very subtle hints of autumn in the air these past few days, and this evening reminded me a bit of those evening walks just before I went away to uni three years ago.

Cloudless and boiling hot all day. Pretty tiring, all this heat.

It started raining about 1pm and didn't stop till after 1am. Got quite heavy during the evening too.

After lunch there was a massive thunderstorm.
