Last day of Summer. Warm and calm, with a beautiful golden full moon visible on my way home in the evening. Just a shame we had so little summer weather to come before it.

More rain, mostly in the afternoon though. For once I carried my umbrella all the way to work and did need it on the way home.

Rain stopped in time for me to go out at lunchtime and view yet another flat.

Beautiful cool sunny day. Observed that autumnal slant of the light you get in the last third of August. Summer's coming to an end already - with so much rain it seems like it never really started. Wouldn't be surprised if we got a hot September.

Thundering again - a wonderful stormy week we've had, remnants of a tropical storm I believe.

Great thunderstorm about 0230 today. I've come a long way since I used to lie awake listening for *10 thunder and being afraid. 28 years old I was - aaah! No, I was about 7 when I used to do that. It's good to have an example of how I can get over my fears. I wonder if it explains why deep rumbling noise annoys me most?

Fantastic thunderstorm just after I got to work: sky as dark as slate as it approached from the SE, oddly flat clouds almost like the 'pile of plates' formation. Very hot and humid all day.

Blazingly hot day. Spent most of it keeping cool. There's something oddly luxurious about the cool shade of drawn curtains on a hot summer day.
