Grey, dry, cold day, quite pleasant to be indoors on. Late in the afternoon got out and pruned the apple tree. At 5-6°C it was just about warm enough to work outside, if I kept moving. Was glad to get back inside though, for my planned beer and crumpets.

Was walking across the park in the morning just as the sun was coming up about 7.55. At first it was just lighting up the houses on the far side of the park about ¼ mile away, then the light gradually came down across the field, coming out first on the raised bits, like the field was tipping up towards the sun. Which, when I come to think about it, it was.
