A strange, sad sort of old day. Woke up at 9 am, went to the garage for milk; immediately it started pissing down with rain and being really windy. So I stayed till about 2pm when it cleared up. Late in the evening it got windy and very cold.

May 6th. Went out for barbecue supplies - beautiful sunny, windy fresh day.

May 7th. Another beautiful sunny day - no wind either so f'hot. Spent 7 hours lying outside in the sun.

May 15th. Sat outside in the sun for a while.

May 21st. Lay outside till midday, then the three of us went to the bar for a cooling drink (it was f'hot).

May 24th. F-hot outside - turned out to be 81 F later.

May 31st. May hasn't been so bad - lovely weather at least.
