The end of term. Spent a cold, wet lunchtime playing Racing Demon. Said goodbye to the teachers, went home in the drizzle. Just now at 3.35pm there was a very heavy 'clearing-up' shower and and a brief burst of sunlight, but now the sky's coagulating again.

Was woken at 3.15am by a thunderstorm. Quite hard. Depressingly hot day. Stayed inside. The rains came at 5pm and the temperature dropped mercifully.

Came to school wearing my coat. I explained it was going to rain. No-one believed me. It had been very hot and close all day, when at 3.20 the wind got up and at 3.35 the heavens opened. Hope they all got wet. The temperature dropped 13° F in 20 minutes.
