Cooler today, perhaps a bit Septembral in the afternoon.

August 25th. Weather much colder, which was good.

August 26th. Even cooler and greyer, quite autumnal. Because August is hot, usually, you forget that today is as far from the solstice as April 15. Definitely getting dark on the way home.

August 27th. Cool and sunny, Septembral.

August 28th. Weather same again but colder, and clouding over ita before clearing again. Indeed quite warm about 5pm. But another autumnal sign - huge flock of birds wheeling over the road in the evening.
