Not so cold today.

'Very mild in the south' [...]

3rd. Weather still quite mild.

8th. Wind got a bit breezy at noon, fresh at 3pm, very strong at 6.30pm.

9th. The tree across the road had been blown over in the night - I didn't hear a thing. Wind abated in the day.

'Severe gale on the night of the 8th/9th in the south' [Footnote]

28th. Snow lying this morning, more snow during the day: weather was rather warm though, so most of it had melted by the evening. I can't remember it snowing in November and December ever before: snow here has been serious only in Jan-Feb since 1981. This lot came in on an occluded front. Are we in for odd weather this winter?
