November 1st. Misty cold day out in the flat countryside, beautiful autumn colours. Bu I'm really bored with all these quiet grey days and mists.
2nd. Grey, windy, very cold.
'A cold month...' [...]
3rd. Much warmer today, hazy sun.
4th. Very warm again.
'..however, it started very mild'
7th. Damp, cold, grey November day.
14th. Very windy and cold last night and today, rain too.
'Notable gale on the 14th'
16th. Very cold today. Spent the afternoon trying to keep warm.
'Particularly cold in the second half of the month'
17th. Bright and windy and very cold.
18th. Bright and very cold.
19th. Bright again and even colder.
20th. Very cold again with pressure dropping.
21st. Up at 9.10 to over an inch of snow. Went to the shop as an excuse for appreciating the scene. I can't
remember it snowing significantly before Christmas since 1981. The sun came out later but there was no thaw. Perfect
weather.
22nd. A bit more snow.

23rd. Extremely cold again.
24th. Up at 9.30, tried to keep warm.
26th. Cold and foggy.
29th. Bitterly cold today.
