Observed the eclipse during a fortuitous sunny spell about noon. Top left-hand part of sun occulted.

Roses in the garden here flourishing - white, yellow, and ones I remember from 45 years ago, raspberry ripple, pale pink and deep pink.

Drove home eating my packed lunch. Took the back road all the way to Gt Saffield rather than turning off. Quite pleasant driving down country roads on Sunday afternoon with green leaves and dark skies.
