As you can see, not only did I neglect to supply myself with cartridges, but with a working biro too. It must be many a long year since I had to do a diary entry in pencil.

Lovely morning; set myself to serious work fixing the batch files I use for my past diaries so they'd work on the laptop. It was good 'digital nomad' practice. Getting an entry typed up and weather-checked gave me a feeling of stability.

About 2.15 dark clouds came over and there was a shower, rain on the windows. I felt very cosy, as if I was on holiday, but I never have to go home, because I don't have a home now.
