Coming out of the Co-op at 11.50 I saw huge dark clouds coming up from the West - I hurried home hoping to get the lawns mowed before it started raining, but in the end I only beat it home by about 3 min.

Appalling weather, Harbour Road closed again. Thank goodness it wasn't high tide during the rush hours this time.

Went out with an umbrella to vote at 7.30, duly voted Remain. Stopped at Tescos for mini-quiche and an avocado for my work tea.

In the evening trudged lead-footedly home through the traffic. Brightened up after exercise and yoga - I mean I did, not the weather. It's raining heavily again now (6.53pm).

Many people reaching the conclusion I did yesterday about the link between Jo Cox being killed and the atmosphere created by the Leave campaign.

While it was thundering in the afternoon I impressed everyone with the lightning monitoring site. Home in renewed rain.

It started raining just before I left at 7.30, and it got quite heavy, but fortunately it was just a shower, and by the time I got to work I'd dried off.

Once again a progressively cloudier start, then a hot afternoon. Pleasant cool breeze though. Home for another cold collation - potato salad, tuna fish, sweetcorn and spring onions. Very nice.

A light, irregular tapping noise behind the bed has been going on for some weeks. I checked for ceiling drips, but found nothing, and went off to work rather perturbed. When I got home I found it was just the loose TV aerial cable whapping against the wall in the wind.
