While I was walking home the wind suddenly turned cold - the downdraught from a huge raft of storm clouds. Powerful gusts lashed me with icy rain, but fortunately I had my back to the wind.

Yet more biting Easterly wind. Looked more closely at house buying process, getting list of 25 stages from a website and, as a result, asking a solicitor for a quote for fees. Just wish it was so easy to find a house to buy in the first place.

Odd positive feeling on way home - don't know if it was the sun at its highest 5pm elevation this year, or the house stuff, but I had an extraordinary 'things are moving again' feeling which in some ways I haven't had since circa 1988. 8 flatter Sc. Wind E brisk, very cold.
