Another cold, clear day. (Very cold indeed when I went out to post a letter in the evening).

Another bright cold morning. Washing up after lunch, I found the bright sunlight pouring levelly into the kitchen quite unnerving - everything was intensely lit as if in a Buffy dream sequence.

Up at 9.50 to wonderful bright sunlight and a cold, clear day. Instituted new tradition of Christmas cake with breakfast.

Rather warmer today, with a fresh wind. Quite pleasant. Bus driver dressed as jester! Collecting for charity.

Very dark morning, and getting darker: the street lights were still on at 10am. But at lunchtime things brightened up as if a front had passed, and I realised that it's been some days since we've seen the Sun.
