Cool, bright day, with mist in the morning.

Really quite autumnal with grey clouds, and rain in the evening.

Cold and bright again.

Beautiful cold bright day. Walking round the lake during the morning, it could still have been summer if you ignored those trees that had gone yellow.

Really rather cool and bright, with North wind, blue sky and big white cumuli.

Walked home through heavy, cold rain. Was very glad indeed to come back to a warm, dry house. And to find letter saying I'll be on genuine green electricity from Oct 9th.

Again golden, but sort of softer and cooler, more autumnal.

Again clear, sunny, pleasantly warm, blue and green and gold among the poplars in the afternoon.

Pleasantly warm, but with an exciting threat of autumn behind it all. Like the Roman Empire circa AD 200.

Definite autumnal feeling today: not so much the weather, more a psychological urge to stay in and play D&D by myself.
