Driving rain and dark grey skies in the afternoon, bright moonlight in the evening.

In the afternoon I realised I hadn't been out of the house for 2 days and went for a walk in very strong wind. Went down to the park and watched the sun emerge from the flying clouds in the West.

Got the paper - everything quiet and grey with rolled stratocumuli. Sat about taking in the Christmas Eve atmosphere.

Ridiculously cold with icy snow flurries.

It got very dark and very cold very early, as I noticed when I went out for fags about 4.15.

Very strong wind today (and occasional snow showers) and flood warnings all down the East coast.

About noon it started snowing till 1pm, then again 2pm - 4pm: campus has never looked so nice.
